It’s now week 7 of In-Depth, and I’m amazed at the progress I’ve made over the past several weeks! I’ve learned so much interacting with my mentor over the past two weeks, but that hasn’t come without challenges. The most difficult challenge when it comes to this process is most definitely the time. Not just finding time to meet, but the amount of time that I actually spend with Susanne learning yoga. We both have busy schedules, but I make sure to drop in her classes at least once every two weeks in addition to our interaction via email and my own research. However, sometimes this doesn’t feel like enough interaction between us, so I’ll try to figure out a way we could improve that in the future.

Despite this, I’m learning a lot from my mentor, and we’ve transitioned to more difficult poses and exercises. Susanne gives me lots of tips and suggestions, and she’s given me some reading to do that I’m currently working on. She’s willing to answer my questions and feed my curiosity when it comes to yoga. She has a lot of experience, so it’s nice to get a concrete source of information.

I’ve realized now that I need to kick things up a notch when it comes to my organization and readiness. Looking at In-Depth as a whole, there isn’t a lot of time left regardless of how relaxed things feel at the moment. I’m going to try to start recording everything I do in regards to this inquiry, from my interactions with Susanne to my classes and personal exploration. This will help me keep things organized and prepare me for my presentation at In-Depth night. At the moment, things are still in the growth stage, but I hope by my next post I’ll have an increase in progress!
